Mexico is one of the largest organic coffee-producing countries in the world. Most of the
Mexican coffee is grown by small farmers in the southern-most states of Chiapas and Oaxaca.
Our Set Café features Frente al Sol, a Oaxacan pluma coffee grown in the mountains by a group
of farming co-operatives who today have become leaders and models in the industry not only
for their important environmental initiatives but also for their impactful models of civic
organization and community well-being.
Share this coffee with friends in our etched ceramic cups. Each cup is individually hand crafted
by the Jasso workshop- a four-generation family run atelier located in the State of Mexico.
Using a non-electric pottery wheel operated manually by the potter’s feet, each piece is hand
molded and glazed before being fired at a high temperature to ensure durability and resistance.
The set comes with hand carved tropical wood spoons from Othón, Quintana Roo. The Tzalam
wood is sustainably harvested, and only small pieces are used at one time to ensure minimum
waste.
